About

Village cricket, famously the hub of an English rural community, The Cricketers lives up to its namesake. Steeped in a history of family, fine food and exceptional hospitality we look forward to introducing you to our newly refurbished interiors.

The bar and dining areas have been sympathetically updated, reimagined spaces, inspired by the original 16th century fabric of the building. Brickwork and beams complimented by copper, wood paneling and gentle colours and textures, Our bedrooms, also refreshed, bringing the Essex countryside, inside with floral and botanical inspired fabrics, papers and paints.

Our kitchen is committed to sourcing the best ingredients the region has to offer, championing local food producers and their products,  game, fish and meat, cheese, leaves and vegetables. Our regularly changing menus are inspired by season, taste and texture as well as occasion and appetite!
